Director – Raza Mirani – Vancouver Police Board

 

Raza Mirani was appointed to the Vancouver Police Board in June of 2024.
An educator with the Vancouver School Board for 27 years, Raza currently serves as a Secondary School Principal with an administrative career spanning three schools and 11 years with a teaching career of 16 years before that. Raza has a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education and Master of Education in Digital Curriculum and Technology from the University of British Columbia. Raza served 6 years on the Board of Governors for Langara College and is the former chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee.
Raza is a member of the Muslim and Pakistani-Canadian community and is the current General Secretary for the Pakistan-Canada Association. Raza has held the position of Vice President of Education with the BC Muslim Association, supporting two independent K-7 schools, and is a founding member of the Unified Muslim Alliance of British Columbia (UMABC), an organization founded to combat Islamophobia and raise Muslim voices in Canadian society.
