Description

Tiered Policing refers to an innovative method for performing and delivering police services, which uses conventional police forces in conjunction with other service providers, such as civilians, private security, and volunteer agencies.

This webinar will provide attendees with an analysis of the research-backed benefits of Tiered Policing from Canadian author Paul McKenna, as well as an on-the-ground view from York Regional Police Chief MacSween and Inspector Skinner.

Topics that will be addressed in this session are:

  • A clear definition of Tiered Policing
  • Why it makes sense and how it works
  • An overview of existing policing types
  • Practical and policy implications
  • Some of the recent work of the York Regional Police Service

This comprehensive overview of Tiered Policing is a must-attend session for anyone involved in policy development, policing, or police governance.
